CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (September 5, 2007) - Vigor Gaming, a developer of custom desktop and notebook gaming rigs and high-end peripherals, today announced a new series of notebook PCs that has something for everyone - from entry level notebook PCs suitable for the college dorm, to a powerful desktop replacement system with 20-inch wide screen display.
Five new models are being offered that feature the latest Intel and AMD notebook CPU Technology and NVIDIA graphics cards, with many custom options available.
The largest display system in the new line, named Atlantis PRO, is powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Processor and dual NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics processors in SLI configuration. Vigor Gaming has loaded this notebook with a pair of 250GB hard drives in RAID-0 and a 20-inch widescreen WSXGA+ (1680x1050) active matrix display. The base MSRP is $2,799 (US).
The Vigor Gaming Atlantis model uses an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with the same dual NVIDIA graphics processors with a 17-inch WUXGA (1920x1200) display. The Atlantis is designed more as a notebook gaming rig, with dual programmable gaming buttons and multiple hard drives featuring a capacity of up to 750GB in RAID-0. The Intel-powered Atlantis has a base MSRP of $2,419.
The Vigor Gaming Artorius PRO, Ares PRO and Ares notebook PCs all have an added level of security with built-in fingerprint readers.
The Artorius PRO is built with the latest Intel Santa Rosa Chipset with Centrino Duo Processor Technology and NVIDIA 8700M GT graphics to handle the most graphic-intensive games, business applications and multi-media operations. The Centrino Core 2 Duo processor offers desktop-level performance at a fraction of the power consumption. It features a 17-inch WUXGA (1920x1200) widescreen display and support for the latest wireless N standard Intel 4965AGN antenna. Base price is $1925.
The Ares PRO is a more custom notebook offering, with Intel's Core 2 Duo desktop-class CPUs up to 2.93GHz, NVIDIA GEFORCE GO 8600M GT graphics, 2GBs of DDR2 memory, 120GB SATA hard drive, and widescreen 15.4-inch WSXGA+ display. The Ares PRO has an MSRP of $1,899.
The Ares is the last of the new Vigor notebook series and is designed for price-conscious users without skimping on features or performance. The Ares features Intel's Core 2 Duo mobile processors and NVIDIA's GEFORCE 8600M GT graphics with a choice of 15.4-inch 1280x800 widescreen or WSXGA+ (1680x1050) matte widescreen displays. Base price is $1299.
Standard features on all new Vigor Gaming notebook models include 8X DVD+/-R/RW optical drive, built-in wireless LAN and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, TV tuner with optional remote, built-in video camera from 1.3 to 2.0M depending on the model, Hi-def 3D digital audio, memory expandable to 4GB on all models, 56K modem, and Microsoft Windows VISTA Home basic 32-bit preloaded with original DVD.
