Performance Increase From Overclocking

Since the system reached the same 3.64-GHz speed at the same 45 degrees Celsius temperature using the Vigor Gaming Monsoon II Lite air cooler and the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy II water cooler, both are represented together in a single entry in the performance charts under the "OC2" label. Representing the best overclock from the stock Intel air cooler is the "OC1" chart entry of 3.46 GHz, and the stock speed results are labeled as "Stock".

Since performance increases were the direct result of clock increases, I thought it suitable to show these gains rather than several pages of individual test scores.

And there you have it, a 37% increase in CPU speed resulted in a 28% increase in average system performance. Both performance coolers provided a 5% greater achievable clock speed compared to Intel Boxed cooler, for a roughly 5% performance gain.
