A Closer Look

The Monsoon II Lite looks strikingly similar to some of the aftermarket coolers we’ve reviewed here in the past. Using a 92mm fan on one side, numerous thin aluminum fins and heat pipes we’ve seen this type of design before and as an air cooler alone I would imagine it would perform respectably.

Looking at the bottom we can see the wires leading the TEC that is sandwiched in the base of the cooler.

Here are a few more looks at the heart and soul of the Monoon II Lite.

Everything is included for installation. Even thermal compound and a case badge are included.

Also included with the Monsoon II Lite is a PCI card that controls the TEC. Lights on the back indicate if there is a problem with the unit.

Connecting power is as simple as connecting a Molex and connecting the cables to the PCI controller card.
